Obituary of Sharon Mustard

Sharon Lea Mustard passed in peace with family at her bedside of natural causes on February, 22, 2019 in Dallas, TX  at the age of 78.

Sharon  is survived by her two sisters, Barbara Jarecki of Platte Center, NE and Marcia Anderson of Crystal, MN and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. . Loving mother of Timothy Smith, daughter in law, Margaret Smith, Jodi Smith and Michele Osentowski Sekhon and son in law Rajah Sekhon. Proud grandmother of Cheriece and Shaun Bailey, Angel and  Steve Ousley, Ray and Carmen Evans and Great grandmother of Dalton and Courtney  Bailey,  Jake Richter, Alexis and Cailey Ousley. Sharon is preceded in death by her mother, Grace Mustard, father Donald “Slim” Mustard and brother Donald Mustard, Jr. of Nebraska.

Sharon will be fondly remembered for her strong work ethic, her sense of humor, strong will, her enthusiasm for interior design and decorating and love of Hallmark movies and dogs. She was born on July 10, 1940 in Silver Creek, NE to Donald and Grace Marie Mustard.  She graduated from Clarks High School in 1958.  After moving to the Dallas area of Texas in 1968,  Sharon began working for Collins Radio and after surviving many company buy outs she retired from Alcatel Network Systems after 25 years of service in 1993.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for March 9, 2019 at 11:00 am at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship, 4141 International Parkway Carrollton, TX 75007, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sharon’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family has designated the National Alliance on Mental Illness, www.nami.org, Arthritis Foundation, www.arthritis.org or Operation Kindness, www.operationkindness.org for memorial contributions.

The family would like to express deepest gratitude for the great care provided by the teams of B &Y Personal Care home and of Dallas Home Health and Hospice, Dr. John Richard and nurses, Ray, Michele and continuous care nurses Jan, Jean Claude, Patrick, Tsina and Nicolas.
